Write an essay that argues your viewpoint on this topic. Support your claim with reasons and evidence. Which source would be the most reliable to use for research of the prompt?
Answer:
Kids get addicted to this stuff and feel like they need people to notice them. And if they aren't noticed they can feel worthless or like they don't need to be around. They also just are addicting for kids and general and they spend to much time on them and waste all the time they could have used doing something productive. Also sometimes they might feel sad because they don't look as nice as someone or there's a meanie on there who makes them feel bad. Let's not forget child predators
Answer:
Social media platforms cause low attention stands. The longer a teenager stays on social media the more they don't focus on another thing than that app. Technology corrupts the human mind. It shows us things that we believe is real even though it isn't. Every day when on social media we kill our brain cells and slow lose the ability to focus on other things. if we are unable to focus on others things than we won't be able to learn in school, talk to others in person, ect. it takes a long time to try and restore your focus spans. So if you use social media every day for multiple hours, i would suggest taking a break and putting your phone down.

Reading Langston Hughes’s short story "Thank You, Ma'am" and watching the video created a drastic comparison and contrast in mood, setting, and characterization.
Reading "Thank You, Ma'am" created a somber feeling of suspense, while the video created a more cinematic and uplifting environment. My imagination tailored the setting from the point of view of the story to a street setting up close to the characters in the video. Also, my imagination of the characters was different between the two mediums.
Reading constituted a more two dimensional experience, while the video created a three dimensional experience with life-like qualities. Due to the intricate differences between the two, I personally prefer watching the video as there is more of a connection to the story. Moreover, both versions demonstrate the powerful moral of the story in depicting an act of courage and kindness.
