Why is student attrition an important problem in higher education?

Answers

Student attrition is an important problem in higher education because it can have a significant impact on the success and sustainability of educational institutions. Attrition refers to the phenomenon of students dropping out of their academic programs before completing them.

This can happen for a variety of reasons, including financial constraints, personal or family issues, lack of engagement or interest in coursework, or academic struggles. When students drop out of higher education programs, they not only miss out on the opportunities for personal and professional growth that higher education can offer, but the institutions they attend also suffer. Attrition can lead to decreased enrollment, reduced revenue, and negative impacts on institutional reputation. Additionally, higher education institutions often invest significant resources in recruiting and supporting students, so attrition can represent a waste of these resources.

Frederick II faced numerous challenges, including opposition from powerful city-states such as Venice and Florence, as well as resistance from the papacy.

Despite his ambition and various political maneuvers, Frederick II was unable to overcome these obstacles and establish a centralized authority over the Italian peninsula. Balance Sheet (also known as Statement of Financial Position): The balance sheet provides a shot of the company's financial position at a specific point in time. It presents the company's assets, liabilities, and shareholders' equity. The balance sheet equation states that Assets = Liabilities + Shareholders' Equity.

Monetary Unit Assumption: This assumption states that financial transactions should be recorded and reported in a common monetary unit, such as the local currency (e.g., US dollars). It allows for consistency and comparability of financial information.

Time Period Assumption: This assumption divides the financial life of a business into specific time periods, typically fiscal years, to enable meaningful measurement and reporting of financial performance over time. How did monks contribute to the rise of Christianity in Ethiopia

Answers

The adoption of Christianity in Ethiopia dates to the fourth-century reign of the Aksumite emperor Ezana. Aksum’s geographic location, at the southernmost edge of the Hellenized Near East, was critical to its conversion and development. The kingdom was located along major international trade routes through the Red Sea between India and the Roman empire. The story of Ezana’s conversion has been reconstructed from several existing documents, the ecclesiastical histories of Rufinus and Socrates Scholasticus. Both recount how Frumentius, a youth from Tyre, was shipwrecked and sent to the court of Aksum. Frumentius sought out Christian Roman merchants, was converted, and later became the first bishop of Aksum. At the very least, this story suggests that Christianity was brought to Aksum via merchants. Ezana’s decision to adopt Christianity was most likely influenced by his desire to solidify his trading relationship with the Roman Empire. Christianity afforded the possibility of unifying the many diverse ethnic and linguistic peoples of the Aksumite kingdom, a goal of Ezana’s leadership. Aksum was one of the earliest states to develop a coin system in order to service its sophisticated and prosperous economy. Emperor Ezana was the first world leader to put the cross on coins, which are the earliest examples of Christian material culture from Ethiopia.

All India Trinamool Congress:

Founded in January 1998 by Mamata Banerjee, the All India Trinamool Congress (AITMC), popularly called the Trinamool Congress or AITMC, is a National political party. It formed the present government in the 2011 Vidhan Sabha elections in the state of West Bengal, after defeating

the 34-year rule of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) or CPIM. The AITMC which is a breakaway faction of the Indian National Congress has a center-left political position with political ideologies of secularism and populism.

Bahujan Samaj Party:

Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), English Majority People’s Party, national political party in India. It was formed in 1984. The BSP states that it represents the people at the lowest levels of the Hindu social system—those officially designated as members of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes—as well as other religious and social minorities. The core support group of the BSP consists primarily of the Dalits (Scheduled Castes, formerly called untouchables). The party espouses no specific ideology, other than its opposition to and outspoken criticism of the inequalities of the caste system, and its main tenets are focused on respecting and upholding the constitutional rights of the lower members of Indian society.

Bharatiya Janata Party:

Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), English Indian People’s Party, the pro-Hindu political party of postindependence India was formed in 1980. The party has enjoyed broad support among members of the higher castes and in northern India. Communist Party of India:

Communist Party of India (CPI), is a national political party in India whose headquarters are in New Delhi. Suravaram Sudhakar Reddy became head of the CPI in 2012, following his election as general secretary.

According to the CPI’s official history, the party was founded in late 1925 in Kanpur (now in Uttar Pradesh state). Earlier in the decade, however, a number of people, both within and outside India, attempted to establish a communist presence on the subcontinent. Notable was a manifesto issued in 1920 in Tashkent (now in Uzbekistan) by Manabendra Nath Roy (who would become the party’s first leader), Abani Mukherji, and Roy’s wife Evelyn that called for the creation of a communist party in India.

Communist Party of India (Marxist):

The CPI(M) was formed at the Seventh Congress of the Communist Party of India held in Calcutta from October 31 to November 7, 1964. The CPI(M) was born in the struggle against revisionism and sectarianism in the communist movement at the international and national level, in order to defend the scientific and revolutionary tenets of Marxism-Leninism and its appropriate application in concrete Indian conditions. The CPI(M) combines the fine heritage of the anti-imperialist struggle and the revolutionary legacy of the undivided Communist Party which was founded in 1920. Over the years, the Party has emerged as the foremost Left force in the country. The CPI(M) has grown steadily since its formation in 1964. The membership of the Party, which was 118,683 at the time of its formation, has grown to 985,757 in 2021. The Party has sought to independently apply Marxism-Leninism to Indian conditions and to work out the strategy and tactics for a people's democratic revolution, which can transform the lives of the Indian people. The CPI(M) is engaged in bringing about this basic transformation by carrying out a program to end imperialist, big bourgeois, and landlord exploitation. The CPI(M) as the leading Left party is committed to building a Left and democratic front which can present a real alternative to the existing bourgeois-landlord policies.

Indian National Congress:

The Indian National Congress was established when 72 delegates from all over the country met in Bombay in 1885. Prominent delegates included Dadabhai Naoroji, Surendranath Banerjee, Badruddin Tyabji, Pherozeshah Mehta W. C. Bonnerjee, S. Ramaswami Mudaliar, S.

India has a multiparty system. The Election Commission of India (ECI) accords recognition to the national level and the state level political parties based upon objective criteria. A recognized political party enjoys privileges like a reserved party symbol, free broadcast time on state-run television and radio, consultation in the setting of election dates, and giving input in setting electoral rules and regulations. Other political parties that wish to contest local, state, or national elections are required to be registered by the Election Commission of India. Registered Parties are upgraded as recognized National Parties or State Parties by the ECI if they meet the relevant criteria after a Lok Sabha or State legislative assembly election. The Recognised Party status is reviewed periodically by the ECI.

Before the amendment in 2016 (which came into force with effect from 1 January 2014), if a political party failed to fulfill the criteria in the subsequent Lok Sabha or state legislative assembly election, they lost their status as a recognized Party. In 2016, the ECI announced that such a review would take place after two consecutive elections instead of every election. Therefore, a political party shall retain the recognized Party status even if they do not meet the criteria in the next election. However, if they fail to meet the criteria in the subsequent election following the next election, they would lose their status.

As per the latest publication dated 23 September 2021 from the Election Commission of India, the total number of parties registered was 2858, with 8 national parties, 54 state parties, and 2796 unrecognized parties. What is most important is finding a balance that works for the individual and allows them to feel fulfilled and content in their daily life.

If Sophia is experiencing negative consequences as a result of her strict routine, such as social isolation or difficulty coping with unexpected events, she may benefit from exploring ways to incorporate more flexibility into her life.

This could involve trying new activities or foods, varying her bedtime occasionally, or seeking support from a therapist or counselor to address any underlying anxiety or rigidity in her thinking.

C) .U.S. House of Representatives represents districts and U.S. Senate represents states an accurate comparison of the U.S. House of Representatives and the U.S. Senate.

With two legislators each state, the Senate represents both large and small countries inversely, but each state's portion of the 435 House representatives is determined by population.

Members of the House of Representatives, who serve two- time terms, are frequently more open to constituent enterprises than legislators, who serve six- time terms.

Legislators, on the other hand, can not disregard their choosers because one- third of the Senate is over for reelection every two times. Both Houses of Congress have separate enumerated powers( those easily specified in the Constitution) and implicit powers( those not explicitly listed in the Constitution but presumed to carry out enumerated powers).
