Answer 1

Answer:

The reason why the author most likely uses free verse for this excerpt is:

A. The structure imitates casual conversation.

Explanation:

I saw you, Walt Whitman, childless, lonely old grubber, poking among the meats in the refrigerator and eyeing the grocery boys.

I heard you asking questions of each: Who killed the pork chops? What price bananas? Are you my Angel?

"A Supermarket in California" is a poem by author Allen Ginsberg in which the speaker is wandering at night with his imaginary friend. They enter a supermarket, and his friend, who is none other than Walt Whitman, begins asking questions while taking a look at the products. Ginsberg uses free verse in the excerpt in order to show how the questions are asked, imitating casual conversation - without worrying about rhymes or meter.

Death, which has taken the honey from your breath, has not yet had any influence over your beauty.

What are the three reasons Tybalt is to blame for the deaths of Romeo and Juliet?

Tybalt is at fault for the first reason because he KILLED Mercutio and was then killed by Romeo. Romeo was exiled as a result of the death of Tybalt, which is the second justification. The third argument is that if Romeo hadn't been exiled, Juliet would never have pretended to be dead. Juliet and Romeo both take their own lives at the play's conclusion. Even though they committed death, other events contributed to their downfall. Romeo & Juliet's death were primarily brought on by poor decisions, adult involvement, and terrible luck.

Reread the poems "End of April" and "End of August" by Heather Burns.

End of April
In an effort to become more like spring
She put on bright socks – fuchsia pink like the Azaleas in the gardens she sought
Out often to escape what winter still
Kept lodged in her mind. For who would go to
A garden to worry? Wanting to blend
In more, she began to clothe herself with
Wisteria, honeysuckle, trumpet
Vines so the hummingbirds came to know her
As spring itself. Whatever remained
Of her winter evaporated and then
Rained down in homage. When clouds were broken Open by the sun, she was gone – no one
Could say for sure what she used to look like.

End of August
We gather at the place where history
Wounds our future and it’s too bad that the
Balance gets thrown off again and we fall
Like peaches out of a bag, tumbling to
Bruised stops on the countertop. Summer is
Really over. All of our desires for how
To best spend it we wrote on paper plates
In June, in parables that made us laugh.
The thistle has bloomed, scattered. Our hearts cracked Open like thunderstorms that clustered on most Afternoons in July. No grief draws a
Ring around us like the end of August.
Our focus must shift to a new season,
A new frontier of weather, land, and fruits.

-1st person (me, myself, I)

Answers

I had the unfortunate experience of seeing directly the chaos the Covid-19 pandemic has brought upon my city because I work as a doctor in a large metropolitan area.

As is well known, the virus first appeared in China late last year and rapidly spread to many other nations. Even though nations with better resources and security measures, such as Japan and South Korea, were capable of quickly control the virus and "flatten the curve," the rest of the world has been seriously affected.

The first patient I saw who tested positive for Covid-19 will always be in my memory. The signs were unusual of in my experience. Fortunately, the patient wasn't in serious condition, and with just a few days of treatment, the patient was able to heal. However, that early case gave me a sense of how merciless and cruel the virus could be.

There have been countless cases since then, some mild and some serious. Every situation I've come across has left me feeling helpless and terrible because I couldn't do enough to help the patient.

The financial damage that Covid-19 has done to regular people is one of its most terrible effects. Due to the pandemic, many people have lost their jobs or had their hours greatly reduced. It can be challenging to keep a sense of routine when there is so much anxiety and income loss.

Not to mention the burden this pandemic has had on everyone's mental health. Due to social isolation, a fear of the unknown, and a sense of helplessness, we are all experiencing stress and sadness at levels that have never been seen before.

I think a mega strategy is the only way to properly fight this virus going ahead. This means continuing to support medical experts fighting on the front lines, limiting travel and social events, spending as much time as possible at home, and putting oneself into quarantine if anyone starts to exhibit symptoms of sickness. In order to ensure that we are better equipped in the event that a comparable virus comes back in the future, we must also take preventive measures, such as those related to climate change, the reduction of poverty and hunger, public health facilities, and education and awareness.

For all of us, the Covid-19 pandemic has been difficult. We can defeat this virus and rise from it stronger if we unite together, keep informed, and take the necessary measures to safeguard ourselves and our loved ones.
