There he found lots like the kind of money that you could go your entire life without working, there were barrels full of it. Then he grabbed two barrels full of money. He went back home, and got in bed. So reader, as you can see he was really greedy. Even though he had a bunch of money (two barrels of it) he still wanted more. He risked getting caught just for a barrel more, but I’m pretty sure he’ll pay for his mistakes.

The next day when he woke up he looked at all his money and said “I’m gonna go shoppin and buy a corvette” and that's just what he did. Then everyone in town was looking and talking about him. “Wow look at that car” “awesome dude” “where’d he get all the money” was what the people said. He was famous. Dan was even in the news! All that attention made him tired so he went to bed. He had to be just a tiny bit less asleep to hear someone walking downstairs.

In the morning he woke up and found that someone had gotten inside his house! He checked his safe and all the money was still there he checked the garage and the corvette was still there. Whew! What a relief he had when he couldn’t find anything stolen.

Then he went in his corvette to a car shop and said “I’m tired of my Corvette I want another car” so he bought a Lamborghini. He drove home with a tow truck pulling the Lamborghini. When he made it home he was tired so he went to bed.

When he woke up it was 1:25 am so he went to steal more money. This time he got to a house that had a chest full of gold and jewels even though he already had lots of money, he still wanted more, and more, and more. He got home and examined what he had stolen. There were 12 jewels, 4 gold nuggets and 146 gold coins. And then right when he was going to clean up the treasure and go to bed

policemen smashed through the door. “Hands up nobody move!” the policemen shouted,

Dan put his hands up. The policemen put Dan in the car and checked the house they found the barrels full of money and the chest of gold and jewels. Then they brought Dan to the station. Inside the police station Dan was shown to a room where there was an old man with a big puffy beard and green clothes then they asked Dan some questions and he figured out that the man with the beard was the one he stole the barrels from. The man with the beard was smart and had security cameras that caught him stealing.

He had to wait in the police station until morning so the judge could run his trial. In the cell he was thinking, trying to figure out what the police meant about him paying counterfeit money.

In the morning the judge said “Is there any proof that Dan did steal the money” then the police showed the tape of the security cameras, “ok” said the judge “Dan do you have anything to say about that” said the judge, “is that bowl of candies free?” Dan said, staring at a bowl of candies on a table. “hm” said the judge. “Ok Dan, you were accused of stealing and paying for a lamborghini with counterfeit money. “What?” Dan said confused “one day while you were sleeping Gus (the man with a beard) went to your house and changed the money you had stolen for counterfeit money.” Said the judge “Ohhh ok,” said Dan. “Now you will be paying for your crimes with 3 years in jail.” said the judge and from then on he was never greedy or never stole anything for the rest of his life. Dan was always grateful for what he had even though he didn’t have much.
