Sarah, who is 15 years old, is performing a step challenge to strengthen her cardio-respiratory endurance. She commences by timing her resting heart rate for 6 seconds, then adds a 0 to the end of the number of heartbeats she counts . Sarah then after times her exercise heart rate for 6 seconds, then adds a 0 to the end of the number of heartbeats she counts, after she completes her 3-minute step challenge. She then rests for 1 minutes and after that minute she times her recovery heart rate for six seconds, then adds a 0 to the end of the number of heartbeats she counts. What are Sarah's heart rates throughout her resting, exercise, and recovery heart rate?
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Example: His resting heart rate is 7 beats throughout 6 seconds, add a 0 to the 7, which makes her resting heart rate 70.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Questions:
Resting Heart Rate: __
Exercise Heart Rate:__
Recovery Heart Rate:__

Your example shows that you add a 0 to the end of how many heartbeats you get throughout 6 seconds which was 7 so that would give you 70, however in Sarah's example it doesn't tell us how many times her heartbeats in 6 seconds so I can't give you the answer, but if that's how the question is supposed to be then the answer would be 60 for all.

On Friday I had 3 nose bleeds and on Saturday I had only 2. While having those nose bleeds I began to get very light headed, my vision started to blur, and ears started to ring very bad. Eventually it started to feel like my head became a stress ball. I had asked everyone that I new what is could be caused by but they just said that it could be because my iron is to low or I am not drinking enough water but I knew that it was neither of those things. I even talked to 2 nurses and they said the same exact thing
All I want to know is what is could be caused by and how I can fix it because over the past few years it has gotten worse and i just don't know what to do because every one is saying the same exact thing
Nosebleeds can be caused by really dry weather of any temperature. Your symptoms may be unrelated, but since they happened simultaneously, we'll assume they're related. Depending on the amount of blood loss, that can cause dizziness. Since your symptoms are so broad, it's hard to know for sure. What were you doing during when the nosebleeds started. I sometimes get these symptoms, sans nosebleeds if I haven't eaten for a while, or if I go from light activity to heavy activity. I might try taking Acetaminophen or Ibuprofen to help with the headaches, but be careful and ASK FIRST. Overall, it probably isn't to serious and may get better on it's own. If symptoms persist, seek the help of your guardian and doctor. Hope you start feeling better.

the nurse teaches a patient about bethanechol [urecholine]. which statement by the patient requires an intervention by the nurse?
The nurse teaches a patient about bethanechol [urecholine]. Which statement by the patient requires an intervention by the nurse? Bethanechol [Urecholine] is a drug used to treat urinary retention, which helps to increase the contractility of the detrusor muscle.
While educating patients about the use of this drug, the nurse should consider several key points to ensure the safety and efficacy of the drug. One of the most significant parts of drug education is to check the patient's understanding and their ability to take the drug safely and effectively. The patient's statement should be assessed to make sure they understand the treatment and drug indications. Here are some possible statements from the patient that could require an intervention by the nurse:
Statement 1: "I don't need to take this medication if I am not having problems." Intervention: The nurse must explain to the patient that this medication should not be stopped or taken as needed. It should be taken exactly as prescribed, whether symptoms are present or not.
Statement 2: "I can take this medication with food." Intervention: The nurse should tell the patient that the medication should be taken on an empty stomach, at least one hour before meals and two hours after meals.
Statement 3: "I can take two doses of this medication together if I missed the last one." Intervention: The nurse must inform the patient that they should not take two doses of the medication together. If a dose is missed, the patient should take the medication as soon as possible, but they should not take two doses together. Taking a double dose can increase the risk of adverse effects.
Statement 4: "I should avoid drinking water before taking this medication." Intervention: The nurse should inform the patient that drinking enough water is important while taking this medication. Dehydration may cause more problems while taking this drug. The patient must be advised to drink sufficient amounts of water or other fluids that can help keep the body hydrated.

Explain the 3 alternative decision making style leaders and compare them , mention when they are effective and least effective in the medical field.
The three alternative decision-making styles in leadership are autocratic, democratic, and laissez-faire.
Autocratic style: In this style, the leader makes decisions without consulting others and maintains full control over the decision-making process. It is effective in situations that require quick and decisive actions, such as emergencies or critical medical procedures. However, it may be least effective in fostering collaboration and teamwork, limiting input from other healthcare professionals, and potentially leading to decreased job satisfaction among the team.
Democratic style: This style involves involving the team members in the decision-making process, gathering input, and considering their perspectives. It is effective in situations that require collaboration, such as developing treatment plans or addressing complex medical cases. In the medical field, the democratic style can promote teamwork, boost morale, and enhance job satisfaction. However, it may be least effective when time is limited or during emergency situations where immediate action is crucial.
Laissez-faire style: This style involves delegating decision-making authority to the team members, allowing them to make choices and take responsibility for their actions. It is effective in situations where team members are highly skilled, experienced, and self-motivated, such as research projects or independent practice areas. However, in the medical field, the laissez-faire style may be least effective in situations that require strong leadership and guidance, such as critical emergencies or when working with less-experienced team members.
Overall, the effectiveness of each decision-making style in the medical field depends on the specific context and circumstances. Different situations may call for different styles, and effective leaders should be able to adapt their approach accordingly to promote optimal outcomes and maintain a balance between efficiency, collaboration, and accountability.
