headings in the same level of a report must be grammatically parallel. choose the answer that is parallel to the following heading: taking the next step
A parallel structure of headings should be used. That is, they should use the same grammar. By using parallelism in your writing, you can set expectations in your readers regarding the placement and style of your headings.
You can avoid creating grammatically incorrect phrases and improve your writing style by maintaining parallel structure. Sentences with parallel structure are simpler to read and give your work a sense of balance, however lack of parallelism is not necessarily strictly improper.
When there are elements in a sentence that appear in pairs or in a sequence, parallel construction is most frequently used. Additionally, it is used for academic writing's headings and outlines.
Utilizing headers requires adherence to the following rules:

Which two sentences in the excerpt suggest that Policles loved quality music?
The Contest
by Arthur Conan Doyle (adapted excerpt)
The blue-clad player struck several chords upon his lyre, and then burst suddenly out into the "Ode of Niobe," and Policles sat straight up on his bench and gazed at the stage in amazement. The tune demanded a rapid transition from a low note to a high, and had been purposely chosen for this reason. The low note was a grunting, a rumble, the deep discordant growling of an ill-conditioned dog. Then suddenly the singer threw up his face, straightened his figure, rose upon his tiptoes, and with wagging head and scarlet cheeks emitted a howl. All the while the lyre twanged and thrummed, sometimes in front of and sometimes behind the voice of the singer. But what amazed Policles most of all was the effect of this performance upon the audience. Every Greek was a trained critic, and as unsparing in his hisses as he was lavish in his applause. Many a singer far better than this absurd fop had been driven from the platform, but now, as the man stopped and wiped the abundant sweat from his face, the whole assembly burst into a delirium of appreciation. The shepherd held his hands to his bursting head and felt that his reason must be leaving him, for it was surely a dreadful musical nightmare, and he would wake soon and laugh at the remembrance. But no, the figures were real, the faces were those of his neighbours, and the cheers which resounded in his ears were indeed from an audience which filled the theatre of Olympia. The whole chorus was in full blast, the hummers humming, the shouters bellowing, the tappers hard at work upon the benches, while every now and then came a musical cyclone of "Incomparable! Divine!" from the trained phalanx who intoned their applause, their united voices sweeping over the tumult as the drone of the wind dominates the roar of the sea. It was madness—insufferable madness! If this were allowed to pass, there was an end of all musical justice in Greece. Policles' conscience would not permit him to be still. Standing upon his bench with waving hands and up-raised voice, he protested with all the strength of his lungs against the mad judgment of the audience.
We can actually deduce here that the two sentences in the excerpt that suggests that Policles loved quality music are:
But what amazed Policles most of all was the effect of this performance upon the audience. The blue-clad player struck several chords upon his lyre, and then burst suddenly out into the "Ode of Niobe," and Policles sat straight up on his bench and gazed at the stage in amazement. What is a sentence?A sentence is actually known to be a group of words that is used to create text and bring stories into structure. It is actually made up of a subject and a predicate.
We see here that from the selected sentences from the excerpt, we are told that Policles was actually gazing at the stage in amazement. His amazement shows he loved quality music. We also see that the effect of the performance also amazed him. This is another pointer that showed that he loves quality music.

True False The biological species does not apply to fossils. True False Which of the following is an example of a primary consumer? shark grasshopper phytoplankt on bea
If a wolf and a fox both eat the same species, they would be considered competitors for the same resources. This competition can lead to changes in the populations of both species, as they may have to search for different food sources or adapt their hunting strategies. While there may be some overlap in their diets, they are not likely to exhibit herbivory, parasitism, or mutualism in this context.
The statement "The founder effect can cause the loss of alleles" is true. The founder effect occurs when a small group of individuals establishes a new population, and their genetic makeup may not be representative of the larger original population. As a result, certain alleles may be overrepresented or underrepresented in the new population, leading to a loss of genetic diversity.
The statement "The biological species does not apply to fossils" is false. The biological species concept defines a species as a group of individuals that can interbreed and produce viable offspring. While this definition cannot be directly applied to fossils, scientists can use anatomical and genetic evidence to infer whether different fossils belong to the same or different species.
An example of a primary consumer is a grasshopper, which feeds on plants. Sharks are carnivores, and phytoplankton are primary producers. While some animals, such as sea turtles, may consume both plants and animals, they are not classified as primary consumers.

Read the article Skara Brae:
Skara Brae is one of the oldest historical sites in Europe, and it stayed hidden for more than 4,000 years. The ancient village of Skara Brae was discovered on the main island of Orkney, in Scotland. A massive storm in 1850 removed the sand that had covered it for thousands of years, exposing the remains of a small village.
Skara Brae is a collection of eight round, stone houses that still have their stone furnishings and even some of the belongings of the inhabitants. The contents can tell us a great deal about how people lived in what is called the Neolithic era, or the last period of the Stone Age. Seven of the eight houses appear to have been family homes, with beds, dressers, fireplaces, and even simple toilets. The eighth house may have been a community workshop. It shows evidence of tool-making and the use of a large fire pit.
How was Skara Brae built, and what, eventually, happened to it? Let's journey back in time through the evidence archaeologists have put together to understand the story of Skara Brae.
The small, stone village was built some time around 3100 BCE. The first villagers dug down into an existing midden heap, or trash heap, to build the foundations of their homes. The garbage helped to insulate and protect the homes. They built their round huts with stones found locally, sticking each piece together with a paste made from ground-up waste and dung.
After the houses were built, the villagers furnished their homes with stone beds, one on each side of the door, a stone dresser, and a fireplace, or hearth. The hearth kept the home warm and allowed the inhabitants to cook their food.
The people of Skara Brae then farmed the surrounding lands, with evidence suggesting that they grew barley and other grains. They kept cows and pigs, and they fished in the ocean for a good part of their diet.
As the number of people grew, the village expanded. Covered tunnels and alleyways were built to connect all the homes. This would have protected people traveling from one house to another from cold winter weather. Because of the connections between the houses and the shared workspace, archaeologists believe that Skara Brae was a close-knit community.
The people made many things, including pottery, stone tools, and bone jewelry. Curiously, no evidence of weaponry was ever found, leading archaeologists to believe that Skara Brae was a peaceful place.
Skara Brae was inhabited for approximately six hundred years, at which point, it was abandoned. Many theories exist about what happened to the people of Skara Brae. One of the most popular theories is that a terrible storm, similar to the one that would uncover the remains of the village in 1850, struck and drove the people from their homes. This is supported by the fact that so many possessions, including valuables like jewelry, were left behind.
Which supporting detail supports the main idea that Skara Brae was an ancient village?
A. Because of the connections between the houses and the shared workspace, archaeologists believe that Skara Brae was a close-knit community.
B. Seven of the eight houses appear to have been family homes, with beds, dressers, fireplaces, and even simple toilets.
C. The contents can tell us a great deal about how people lived in what is called the Neolithic era, or the last period of the Stone Age.
D.The first villagers dug down into an existing midden heap, or trash heap, to build the foundations of their homes.

Three names of cleaning systems are: A) Robotic cleaning machines, B) Vacuum cleaners, and C) Pressure washers.
1. Robotic cleaning machines: These are autonomous cleaning devices equipped with sensors, artificial intelligence, and programmable features. They can navigate and clean various surfaces, such as floors and carpets, without human intervention. Robotic cleaning machines offer convenience and efficiency, allowing for hands-free cleaning.
2. Vacuum cleaners: Vacuum cleaners are widely used for cleaning floors, carpets, and upholstery. They create suction to remove dust, dirt, and debris from surfaces. Vacuum cleaners come in different types, including upright, canister, and handheld models. While vacuum cleaners are effective at removing dry particles, they may have limitations when it comes to tackling wet spills or deep stains.
3. Pressure washers: Pressure washers use high-pressure water jets to clean surfaces. They are commonly used for outdoor cleaning tasks, such as washing cars, decks, sidewalks, and building exteriors. Pressure washers can remove dirt, grime, and mold effectively. However, caution must be exercised as excessive pressure can damage delicate surfaces or strip away paint.
Each cleaning system mentioned above has its advantages, but they also have disadvantages. For example, robotic cleaning machines may have limitations in reaching tight spaces or handling certain types of debris. Vacuum cleaners may not be as effective on wet or stubborn stains. Pressure washers, while powerful, require careful operation to avoid causing damage or injury.
