Architecture
The modern philosophy of "out with the old, in with the new" has been used and abused for years. Often times, it has more to do with making a profit rather than a legitimate need for something new. Across the United States, beautiful, historic architecture is frequently destroyed to make way for malls, high-rise apartment buildings, grandiose homes, and other structures. Unfortunately, little is done to protect our history.
Over the past several years, it has become increasingly common for big-name developers to tear down Victorian, Craftsman, and Colonial buildings. This destruction is often performed with the thought that it is the property that holds the true value, not the structure that sits on it. Likewise, homeowners have begun to value their property's location over the house they have spent many years living in. Little regard is given to the painstaking details and craftsmanship that went into these buildings, nor the innate beauty of hand-carved woodwork and ornamentation. "Out with the old, in with the new" has resulted in people no longer appreciating the history and artistic integrity of our country's oldest buildings and failing to realize that once "the new" is brought in, "the old" is lost to us forever.
It is bad enough that developers and private citizens are blind to the beauty around them; what is worse is that local governments refuse to step in and prevent this destruction. Cities and towns need to stand up to large developers that flash money around in the name of progress. Rather than allowing developers to tear down old buildings simply to put up new ones, local governments could enact ordinances to preserve their area's architecture. If an old building is unusable or unsafe as it is, the structure could be restored instead of demolished; not only would this save one-of-a-kind architecture, it is also an extremely environmentally-conscience concept because less building material is used and wasted.
In addition, local governments could prevent homeowners from tearing down their homes if the buildings are of a historic nature. Town officials could easily draw up legislation to preserve all buildings erected before a certain date, which would effectively prevent anyone from destroying historic architecture or buying property with express intent of rebuilding on the land.
If local governments take more of an interest in their towns' character and history right now, our culture will be preserved for many generations to come.

Define a sentence fragment and how may a sentence
fragment be corrected?
A sentence fragment is an incomplete sentence that is missing a subject, verb, or both. Sentence fragments can occur due to an improper punctuation (such as a period) or when a dependent clause is used as a complete thought.
For example, the sentence "While the dog barked angrily" is a sentence fragment since there is no complete thought. To correct a sentence fragment one must turn it into a complete sentence by including the missing subject or verb. For example, the fragment "While the dog barked angrily" can become "The dog barked angrily while the sun set." To accomplish this, the fragment was given a subject (dog) as well as a verb (barked) and an independent clause ("the sun set") to complete the thought.
In addition to fixing the sentence fragment, it is important to look closely at the words used to ensure there are no typos or other language-related errors that can lead to the formation of the fragment in the first place. For example, if the dog was not barking but roaring, then the sentence "The dog barked angrily" still has a fragment.

One day while you were alone and asleep at home fire broke out in your house. write a composition about how you escape how the fire was put out and how your parents reacted on their returned
Answer:
It was around 1 in the afternoon. I had just woken up from a long night of play games with my friends. My parents had just left the house to go to the pool with my sister and her friends, so I had the house to myself for the rest of the day. I walked outside and yawned the smell of freshly cut grass and the sun blinding me sent me back inside sneezing up a storm. I sat on the couch wondering what I should do today, this was the last week of summer so I wanted to make the most of what was left of it. That to me was being lazy all day long, so that's exactly what I did. I got a blanket and slumped on the couch with a bowl of popcorn in my lap. But if I am being honest, popcorn wasn't what I really wanted, pizza was the move. So I set the oven to 350 and jumped back onto the couch while setting a time on my phone so I didn't burn it like last time. I was still really tired so I thought I could take a nap while the pizza was cooking, after all, I set an alarm so it would wake me up. 2 hours later I woke up to the smell of burning pizza and wood, in a pool of sweat I jumped off the couch and ran over to the oven, by then it was too late. The flame had consumed the oven and the wall behind it. I tried to unlock my phone my fingers where soaked in sweat so I dropped it on the floor, I slide my hand across my pajama pants with reindeer on them, and recovered my phone from the floor. As I ran out of the house feeling a mix of fear and confusion I dialed 911. Right the operator answer my parents and sister pulled into the driveway they jumped out of the car with my mom's phone plummeting to the ground and shattering into peace's, but she didn't seem to notice. The pure expression of terror on her face had overcome all other emotions. Both of my parents ran over to me and asked if I was OK and then what had happened. I explained to them that I had wanted to make pizza and I had fallen asleep shortly after I put it into the oven and didn't hear the alarm I had set going off. As the firetruck reduced the flames that had consumed the entire house by this point my family and I stood there in the front yard, I didn't know what would happen next.

The lottery's aim is not clearly stated in the novel, although it is likely that the villagers are aware of it.
The lottery is a municipal tradition that has been practiced for decades, and while its specific purpose is unknown, it is apparent that it has great value for those who participate.
The absence of the lottery's purpose is most likely intentional, as the reader is intended to ponder the ritual's relevance. The lottery has a mysterious feel about it, and by not declaring its aim openly, the reader is left to explore its ramifications.
The author generates a sense of discomfort and tension by not providing a clear explanation. The lottery represents the town's tradition and culture, and its purpose is likely to reaffirm the townspeople's collective identity and remind them of their social cohesion and shared ideals.
