Compare the climate map of Europe and the population density map of Europe and most of Europe's population lives in what type of climate?

Answers

When comparing the climate map of Europe and the population density map of Europe, it can be observed that most of Europe's population lives in a temperate climate. The temperate climate zone, characterized by mild summers and cool winters, is where the highest population densities are typically found in Europe.

The population distribution in Europe is closely related to the climate patterns across the continent. The temperate climate zone, which spans across much of Western and Central Europe, is favorable for human settlement and supports diverse economic activities. This climate zone experiences moderate temperatures, ample rainfall, and fertile soil, making it suitable for agriculture and providing favorable living conditions. As a result, countries such as Germany, France, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands, which fall within this temperate climate zone, have higher population densities compared to regions with harsher climates. The population is concentrated in cities and urban areas within this temperate zone, where there are better economic opportunities, infrastructure, and social amenities.

Your respo

Answers

In my opinion, the reason for the decision to use atomic bombs was to bring the war to a quick end and avoid the need for a costly invasion of Japan. The U.S. government believed that an invasion of Japan would result in heavy casualties on both sides, and could drag on for months or even years. President Harry S. Truman, who made the final decision to use the bombs, argued that the use of atomic weapons would save lives in the long run by ending the war quickly. However, there were other options available to the U.S. government at the time. One alternative was to continue the conventional bombing campaign against Japan, which was already causing significant damage to Japanese cities and infrastructure. Another option was to negotiate a surrender with Japan, which had already been weakened by the war and was facing a dire situation. However, the Japanese government was reluctant to surrender unconditionally, and it was not clear whether a negotiated settlement could be reached.

Yes!

"The Auschwitz concentration camp was a complex of over 40 concentration and extermination camps operated by Nazi Germany in occupied Poland during World War II and the Holocaust." -Wiki

Compare that to statues. Preserving/keeping a whole concentration camp used by the Nazs during World War II and the Holocaust is MUCH different than preserving just a statue. They might have to guard concentration camps to keep people out if they need to. However, statues are usually open to the public.

what is one important factor that contributed to the ability of europeans to conquer the aztec and inca peoples during the european colonization of the americas?

Answers

Answer:

One important factor that contributed to Europeans being able to conquer the Aztec and Inca peoples was their possession of far superior weapons and military technology.

The Aztecs and Incas, while advanced civilizations in their own right, were still fighting with weapons like clubs, spears and archaic armor when the Spanish conquistadors arrived. The Europeans, on the other hand, had guns, cannons and steel swords - weapons and armor made from superior materials.

When the Spanish conquistadors, along with their horses, guns and cannons first confronted the Aztecs and Incas, the native populations had never seen anything like it. The advanced European weaponry and military equipment gave the conquistadors a huge tactical advantage that the Aztecs and Incas could not match.

The Aztecs and Incas were also unfamiliar with and undisciplined against the tactics of cavalry and artillery that the Spanish employed. This, combined with the psychological impact of seemingly magical weapons like guns that could kill at a distance, contributed to the Spanish being able to conquer the Aztec and Inca civilizations relatively quickly despite being vastly outnumbered.

So in summary, the technological and military gap between the relatively primitive weapons of the Aztecs and Incas and the far advanced weaponry of the European conquistadors was an important factor that helped enable the Spanish conquest by giving them a decisive edge on the battlefield.

9. what distinguished the two-party system, which resulted after the 1840 election, from the earlier two-party system, and what were the philosophical and policy differences between the democrats and the whigs?

Answers

The two-party system that emerged after the 1840 election differed from the earlier system in terms of party composition and policy positions. The Democrats and the Whigs were the main political parties during this period.

What were the philosophical and policy differences between the Democrats and the Whigs?

The Democrats, led by President Martin Van Buren, championed a limited role for the federal government, advocating for states' rights and agrarian interests.

They supported policies such as territorial expansion, manifest destiny, and the preservation of slavery in states where it already existed. Economically, they favored a hands-off approach and opposed the establishment of a national bank.

On the other hand, the Whigs, under the leadership of William Henry Harrison and later Henry Clay, believed in a more active role for the federal government.

They supported the American System, which aimed to promote economic development through protective tariffs, internal improvements (infrastructure projects), and the establishment of a national bank. The Whigs were more aligned with industrial and commercial interests and advocated for a stronger central government.

by the late 1980s, what was a key economic strategy of most developing countries?

Answers

By the late 1980s, most developing countries adopted a key economic strategy known as structural adjustment programs (SAPs).

SAPs were implemented under the guidance of international financial institutions like the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank. The strategy aimed to promote economic liberalization, deregulation, privatization, and fiscal discipline in order to stimulate growth and attract foreign investment.

In the late 1980s, many developing countries faced significant economic challenges, including high levels of debt, inflation, and stagnating growth. In response, these countries turned to structural adjustment programs as a means to address their economic woes. SAPs were designed to transform and modernize their economies by implementing a range of policy measures.Privatization involved selling state-owned enterprises to private investors, while fiscal discipline emphasized budgetary restraint and reducing public spending.

key developments the battle of crecy

Answers

The Key Developments of the Battle of Crecy :

The Battle of Crécy took place on 26 August 1346 in northern France between a French army commanded by King Philip VI and an English army led by King Edward III. The French attacked the English while they were traversing northern France during the Hundred Years' War resulting in an English victory and heavy loss of life among the French.

The English army had landed in the Cotentin Peninsula on 12 July. It had burnt a path of destruction through some of the richest lands in France to within 2 miles (3 km) of Paris, sacking many towns on the way. The English then marched north, hoping to link up with an allied Flemish army which had invaded from Flanders. Hearing that the Flemish had turned back, and having temporarily outdistanced the pursuing French, Edward had his army prepare a defensive position on a hillside near Crécy-en-Ponthieu. Late on 26 August the French army, which greatly outnumbered the English, attacked.

During a brief archery duel a large force of French mercenary crossbowmen was routed by Welsh and English longbowmen. The French then launched a series of cavalry charges by their mounted knights. These were disordered by their impromptu nature, by having to force their way through the fleeing crossbowmen, by the muddy ground, by having to charge uphill, and by the pits dug by the English. The attacks were further broken up by the effective fire from the English archers, which caused heavy casualties. By the time the French charges reached the English men-at-arms, who had dismounted for the battle, they had lost much of their impetus. The ensuing hand-to-hand combat was described as "murderous, without pity, cruel, and very horrible". The French charges continued late into the night, all with the same result: fierce fighting followed by a French repulse.

The English then laid siege to the port of Calais. The battle crippled the French army's ability to relieve the siege; the town fell to the English the following year and remained under English rule for more than two centuries, until 1558. Crécy established the effectiveness of the longbow as a dominant weapon on the Western European battlefield
