1) No, the narrator doesn't come as a selfish. He and Richard Parker (Tiger) were together and on the same boat. He might have thrown Richard off the boat but he let him to stay there. Pi was struggling and starving to survive and so was the tiger. But, Pi, despite of being so hungry and tired, tried to help Richard too. He helped the Tiger by providing him some of the fishes he catched. At last, he also helped Richard to safely get on to the island. So, we can conclude that Pi was very helpful and rather of being selfish, he helped himself and Richard to survive.
2) It was the most adventurous and deadly experience ever. Our ship was wrecked by the storm. The other animals died by drowning but I managed to get on to a boat, with a human. We were struggling a lot but somehow we reached an island, safe and sound after a long journey. The boy helped me with food. I am still very grateful to him.

The correct spelling is satisfactory explanation .
What does it mean when something has a satisfactory explanation?Explanations must highlight how various results differ (the technical term is that they be contrastive). Explanations might not be complete; they might just point out one or two carefully chosen causes, not necessarily the root cause of an event.
You can accept something as satisfying if it satisfies a specific requirement or objective. Elucidate, explicate, expound, and interpret are a few popular synonyms for explain. Explain requires making plain or understandable what is not immediately apparent or all that is understood, even if all these terms indicate "to make anything clear or understandable."

The ChrysanthemumsThe Chrysanthemums by John Steinbeck is a short story about a woman's development. Elisa Allen, the protagonist of the narrative, is seen working in her garden in the beginning. In order to celebrate the sale of thirty cattle, her husband, Henry, approaches her and asks her out to dinner and a movie. They appear to be a compatible pair, yet their communication style is formal and serious.
While Elisa is being approached by a wanderer who traverses the coast fixing pots and sharpening scissors, Henry returns to his job. She is frustrated and disappointed after talking to this strange man. Elisa is a completely different person by the time the story is over. Elisa undergoes a remarkable shift, which is evident in her speech and demeanor.
The protagonist Elisa is initially stereotyped as a tomboy. She lacks any feminine characteristics. Elisa is reported as being 35 years old. Her eyes are as clear as water, and she has a strong face. Her gardening outfit makes her form appear bulky and muscular. She donned a large apron with four large pockets to keep her gardening tools, a man's black hat that she pulled low over her eyes, and heavy leather gloves to protect her hands as she worked. Elisa encounters a stranger when she is gardening, and he complements her flowers in an effort to get some labor.
The man approaches Elisa and requests a few of her chrysanthemums so he can give them to one of his other clients. Elisa undergoes a transformation right away. She removes her black cap and shook out her gorgeous, dark hair. The large leather gloves that masked and concealed her feminine hands have long since been forgotten. Elisa is beginning to lose the characteristics that define her as a woman.
Therefore, Elisa gets ready to head into town with Henry after the stranger departs. She dons a clothing that represents her beauty and her newest undergarments.
