Answer 1

Answer:

hat are the old testament feasts fulfilled in the new testament? This is a commonly asked question, that is clearly answered with in the scriptures.

We find a number of feasts in the so called old testament. In fact there are 11 in total. You may be shocked at that, but it’s true!

I will be giving you a full list of all these feasts and where they are found in the scriptures at the end of the article.

This article will also show you all the old testament feasts fulfilled in the new testament, if any…

The Old testament Feasts will be listed in the order that they were instituted. I will also give you an overview of each one with scriptures and verses where necessary…

So let’s begin…

The question of fulfillment is one that should definitely be answered, especially as the Messiah himself said in the book of Matthew.

Matthew 5:17

17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.

Because the Messiah said he came to fulfill, it’s our responsibility as believers to search the scriptures to find out what he meant.

To start it’s important to scrutinise what the Messiah said…

Important, because a popular assumption is that once the Messiah was crucified, there was no longer any requirement to remember any of the feast days at all.

Is this true? You will have your answer once you’ve finished reading this article.

What Are Feast Days?

In the Hebrew language the word for “Feasts” is Moadim this literally means “appointed times.”

So feast is just an interpretation of the the Hebrew word for Appointed times.

The most common “appointed” times amount to 7, but when you read the scriptures that were taken out (You can still find these in the King James 1611 version bibles) we find more…

We find a total of 11 as explained previous.

The Law And The Prophets

The first thing we must do is look at the language the Messiah used. He said that he didn’t come to destroy the “Law or the “Prophets“…

because he said this the questions we need to ask ourselves are:

What is the Law?

Who are the Prophets?

Note: When the Messiah says he didn’t come to destroy the law, that can be interpreted as him saying he did not come to put an end to the Laws.

Let’s answer the first question:

What Is The Law?

When we look at the scriptures we see the Law being given to Moses to take to Israel.

Exodus 19:7-8

7 And Moses came and called for the elders of the people, and laid before their faces all these words which the Lord commanded him.

8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord.

In this case these are the ever popular “10 commandments”. That being said, Moses also brought other Laws to Israel, besides the 10 commandments.

We see Aaron being told to teach the people the Laws (Statutes):

Leviticus 10:11

11 And that ye may teach the children of Israel all the statutes which the Lord hath spoken unto them by the hand of Moses.

The Laws can be seen as the commands that the Most High gave to Moses. These are generally found in the 5 Books of Moses: Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Deuteronomy and Numbers

So that answers the first question.

Explanation:

Answer 2

The Word of God is given to be fulfilled. The distinction that God makes is that only He can fulfill His own Word by His power. Much is in the Bible to show us the futility of trying to do things ourselves, works of the flesh. The works of the Spirit however always result in God’s intent and fulfillment.

Given the failure of man to do what God required, we have to see we need someone to do for us what we cannot do for ourselves. Jesus came to do just that.

Jesus, the Word become flesh (John 1:14), is either our example or our substitute. He came to fulfill the Law.

Jesus as Example:

John 13:15 (KJV)

15 For I have given you an example, that ye should do as I have done to you.

Jesus as Substitute:

Romans 5:8 (NKJV)

8 But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Now as He walked through the earthly time He was allotted, He fulfilled the Feasts of God. Not only because the Law demanded it but as both our example and substitute He did this so that we may enter into the already fulfilled feasts by entering into Christ. In Exodus the three feasts are revealed to be Feast of Unleavened Bread, Feast of Harvest and Feast of Ingathering.

When we enter into the relationship with God through Jesus Christ, we enter the fulfilled Feasts of God. Passover (the Way), Pentecost (the Truth), Tabernacles (the Life).

Which of the following describes the importance of Abraham and Sarah to the Israelites according to ancient texts?

They were the most powerful of all Israelites.
The Israelites descended from them.
They led the Hebrews out of enslavement.
They shared their polytheistic beliefs with the Israelites.

Answers

Answer:

According to ancient texts, Abraham and Sarah are considered to be the ancestors of the Israelites. They are believed to have received a divine promise from God that their descendants would become a great nation. This promise is seen as the foundation of the covenant between God and the Israelite people. Therefore, the Israelites traced their lineage back to Abraham and Sarah and considered them to be their patriarch and matriarch. However, Abraham and Sarah did not lead the Hebrews out of enslavement, as that role is traditionally attributed to Moses. Additionally, Abraham and Sarah were monotheists, not polytheists, and did not share polytheistic beliefs with the Israelites.

For each of the five civilizations you studied in this unit (Han, Gupta, Maya, Aztec, Inca), identify one development that you think is the most significant for each civilization. Then rank those five developments in importance from 1 to 5 (1 most important, 5 least important).

While your opinion may play a role in your choice, your rankings should reflect sound reasoning. So, you should base your rankings on specific qualities such as the short- and long-term impact that each development had on other civilizations at the time or the degree of technological advancement and creativity that it demonstrates.

Be prepared to defend your choices and rankings. Again, your aim is to present supportable rankings. Discuss and question the rankings of your peers as well.

Answers

Answer:

Rank 1: Han Civilization - Paper

Advances in technology influenced all aspects of Chinese life. Paper was invented in AD 105. Before that, books were usually written on silk. But the paper was cheaper, so books became more readily available. This helped spread education in China. The invention of paper also affected the Chinese government. Formerly, all government documents had been recorded on strips of wood.

I ranked this number 1 because this is the start of further great development. With the use of paper, education and the spread of ideas became faster and more far-reaching.

Rank 2: Maya Civilization - Calendar

The Maya developed a 260-day religious calendar, which consisted of thirteen 20-day months. A second 365-day solar calendar consisted of eighteen 20-day months, with a separate period of 5 days in the end. The two calendars were linked together like meshed gears so that any given day could be identified in both cycles.

I ranked this second because it is a very important development that also influenced succeeding civilizations.  Although they did originally invented the calendar, they perfected it. They also started to use this not only for religious purposes but also for political and economic means. This helped them become more developed and more powerful.

Rank 3: Aztec Civilization - Numbering System (Basic Geometry)

The Aztecs created a numbering system that allowed them to keep track of land holdings and measurements. Historians have also found evidence that the Aztecs used multiplication, division, and the basic features of the geometry. Through this, they also studied astronomy and created a calendar much like the Maya one.

I ranked this third because this had become a basis for further development in geometry. Although this was also seen in other civilizations, this helped and influenced the civilizations that are within reach of the Aztecs.

Rank 4: Inca Civilization - Road Systems

Inca roads were more than just roads—they were engineering marvels. The Incas built roads across almost every kind of terrain imaginable: coasts, deserts, forests, grasslands, plains, and mountains. In doing so, they overcame the geography of their rugged empire. Although the Incas had no wheeled vehicles, they relied on their roads for transportation, communication, and government administration. The roads symbolized the power of the Inca government. Only government officials and the military were allowed to use the roads. As the network of roads expanded, it made the movement of armies more efficient.

I ranked this fourth because compared to the other developments, this did not last for a long time and did not impact much of the other civilizations. However, this is still an important development for the Incas because it helped them expand and became more powerful.

Rank 5: Gupta Civilization - Hindu Temples

Indian civilization flourished under the Gupta rulers. These rulers were Hindu, so Hinduism became India's major religion. The Gupta kings built many Hindu temples, some of which became models for later Indian architecture.

These peoples had great inventions, which we can still see in modern society, great advances in agriculture, language and food conservation.

As there are techniques in agriculture that are used until today, it can be said that the greatest invention is agricultural techniques.

with this statement, this is the list of most important inventions of the Han, Gupta, Maya, Aztec and Inca.

AgricultureTerracing QuipoPan flutefood preservation

Explanation:

Agriculture :The Han, Gupta, Maya, Aztec, Inca developed, through hybridization techniques, more than half of the products consumed today. Among them are 20 varieties of corn, 240 types of potatoes and at least one type of zucchini, beans, pepper and peanuts, as well as lesser known ones, such as quinoa, a grain used in cereals, and cassava, a tuberculous root.Terracing : Large parts of the Inca,Han, Gupta, Maya and Aztec empire were located in the Andes, the second highest mountain range in the world, only behind the Himalayas. The steep slopes of the mountains offered very little land for agriculture, so the Incas created steps, or terraces, of flat terrain on the sides of the mountains, which allowed them to plant potatoes and other crops on the sides of these formations. Terracing also prevented land erosion after heavy rains. This agricultural technique was accompanied by the development of complex irrigation systems.Language : Even without a written language, the Incas used a set of knots on a rope to make accounts. The number of knots on a rope represented a number; and the complexity and number of nodes indicated other factors, such as warehouse contents, census results, and a region's taxpayers. Pan flute :Made of cane, the panpipes are made up of several tubes of different sizes, connected by a string. When air is blown through the holes, due to the different sizes of the tubes, they produce different sounds.food preservation :Taking advantage of the altitude, froze and dried food until it removed all moisture or even froze it, which could keep the food for months or even years.

the Han, Gupta, Maya, Aztec and Inca peoples, have until today great recognition in the inventions of various technologies and techniques, the greatest legacy is in agriculture but other techniques cannot be overlooked.

Research Paper – Roughly 500 words (5-7 paragraphs) about the topic you choose. Your paper should include detailed descriptions of your topic and its importance both during the Renaissance and its impact up through today. Research should be cited appropriately and should include at least 2 appropriate sources of information (NO WIKI!). The research paper should be on Galileo Galilei

Answers

Explanation:

Galileo Galilei was an Italian astronomer, physicist, and mathematician who lived from 1564 to 1642. He is widely considered to be one of the most important scientists of the Renaissance period, and his work had a profound impact on the development of modern science. Galileo made significant contributions to the fields of astronomy, physics, and mathematics, and his work challenged many of the prevailing scientific beliefs of his time.

During the Renaissance, Galileo's work helped to usher in a new era of scientific inquiry and discovery. He was one of the first scientists to use the telescope to study the heavens, and his observations of the moon, planets, and stars revolutionized our understanding of the universe. Galileo's discoveries also challenged the geocentric model of the universe, which held that the Earth was the center of the universe and everything else revolved around it. Galileo's observations of the moons of Jupiter and the phases of Venus provided evidence for the heliocentric model of the solar system, which held that the sun was at the center of the universe.

Galileo's work was not without controversy, however. His support for the heliocentric model and his criticisms of the Catholic Church's interpretation of scripture brought him into conflict with the Church, and he was eventually placed under house arrest for the final years of his life. Despite this, Galileo's work continued to influence scientific thinking and discovery long after his death.

Today, Galileo is remembered as one of the most important figures in the history of science. His contributions to astronomy, physics, and mathematics laid the foundations for much of the scientific research and discovery that followed. Galileo's work also helped to establish the importance of empirical observation and experimentation in scientific inquiry, a principle that remains central to scientific practice today.

In conclusion, Galileo Galilei was a key figure in the Renaissance period who made significant contributions to the fields of astronomy, physics, and mathematics. His work challenged many of the prevailing scientific beliefs of his time and helped to usher in a new era of scientific inquiry and discovery. While his work was not without controversy, his contributions to science have had a lasting impact that can still be felt today.
