We do not use a smaller figure scale to measure larger figures, it would be lengthy and would alter the number of significant figures in our measurement.

Explanation:

An astronomical unit (AU) is a unit quantized based on the distance from the Sun to the Earth. It is helpful to determine relatively how far are the other planets from the Sun, compared to Earth. It would be lengthy to express that in kilometers, hence we would require a bigger unit to make calculations much more simple and easy to comprehend.

The rate constant for the first-order decomposition of cyclobutane at 500 °C is 9.2 x 10−3 s−1. How long will it take (in seconds) for 80.0% of a sample of C4H8 to decompose?

Answers

The time taken to complete the reaction is 179 seconds.

Rate of reaction?

Rate of reaction is the time taken for a reaction to attain completion. From the data presented, we have;

Initial concentration  = No

Final concentration = No - (0.8No) = 0.2No

rate constant = 9.2 x 10−3 s−1

time taken = t

Given that;

N =Noe^-kt

0.2No =Noe^-( 9.2 x 10−3 t)

0.2 = e^-( 9.2 x 10−3 t)

ln(0.2) = 9.2 x 10−3 t

t = ln(0.2)/-9.2 x 10−3

t = -1.609/-0.009

t= 179 seconds

Explanation:

find density of salt solution 585g/500cc = 1.17g/cc

leaves density = 1.25g/cc, stars density = 1.12g/cc

Stars float, leaves sink. since everything is in g/cc, you do not have to worry about the info 1ml=1cc.

density = mass / volume.

Hey Lenny lately I’ve been having a rough time in the water cycle. It all started when I was chilling in my favorite location the “glaciars” and suddenly the sun turned me into liquid form. Next thing I know I am hurdling down a river straight into a massive lake. Personally this is my least favorite stage of the water cycle because of kids and bacteria that lurk in the water, very scary things. I didn’t stop at the lake very long, and instead sunk into the soil in a process called collection so I could become ground water. Underground reservoir’s are much more peaceful then lakes and I wanted to stay there. However I was forced up a water well pump shortly after and sent through a long tube. Me and couple of the friends I met on the way were all dispersed over a giant grass feild. Many molecules in the group were captured by the hostile plants but I escaped through the means of evaporation. Currently I have condensed into cloud form and I am roaming the skies looking for you, when you get this let me know and I’ll percipitate in your area! P.s I found this photo of us freezing over in the ice age lollll.

Chemical Weathering Rocks are changed by chemical and physical weathering. During chemical weathering, the composition of the rock is changed. Extreme heat and pressure within Earth can also cause rocks to change chemically. Physical weathering is the breaking down of rock by wind, water, ice, temperature change, and plants. It changes the shape and size of rocks, but it does not change their properties.

Sandstone experiences heat and pressure and becomes quartzite. Calcium carbonate dissolves.

What is Chemical Weathering ?

Chemical Weathering can be described as the type of weathering that do take place due to the breaking down of the rock particles into smaller pieces which is usually as a result of chemical process.

It should be noted that when the process is taking place it scould be due to the  Extreme heat and pressure  which can affect the composition of the particles and as  a result of this there could be formation of products from the break down.

These are both examples of chemical weathering because the composition of these things changed. When shale is worn into small pieces, it is still shale, and rocks breaking into pieces as they tumble down a mountain are both examples of physical weathering because the weathering is not changing the composition of the rock.

Explanation:

Answer:  Mountains block the winds that bring rain clouds.

Explanation: By acting as obstacles to the flow of air masses, mountains contribute significantly to the dryness of deserts. Orographic lifting is a process that occurs when moist air is forced to ascend as it approaches a mountain range. The moisture in the air condenses and forms clouds as the air cools as it climbs. As a result, on the windward side of the mountains, the air loses a lot of its moisture as precipitation. The air has already lost a significant amount of moisture by the time it reaches the leeward side of the mountains, creating a rain shadow effect. On the leeward side of the mountains, this impact results in a dryer area that is often a desert. Consequently, the existence of mountains influences

2) What kind of organisms are found in oceanic trenches? Describe.

3) Explain how an Estuary can support a wide variety of food webs.

Answer:

1) The cryosphere contains the frozen parts of the planet. This sphere helps maintain Earth's climate by reflecting incoming solar radiation back into space. As the world warms due to increasing greenhouse gases being added to the atmosphere by humans, the snow and ice are melting.

2) Organisms like the Frilled Shark, Giant Spider Crab. Atlantic Wolffish Pair, Fangtooth Fish, Six-Gill Shark, Giant Tube Worms, Vampire Squid, Pacific Viperfish. But there are most likely archaeabacteria which are prokaryotic bacteria or single-celled organisms. A Prokaryotic cell does not contain a nucleus. It only contains one chromosome and is a single-celled organism. It was the only form of life on earth for millions of years. Examples of a Prokaryotic cell are the different types of bacteria present today.

3) Many different types of plant and animal communities call estuaries home because their waters are typically brackish — a mixture of fresh water draining from the land and salty seawater. This unique combination of salty and fresh water creates a variety of habitats. Estuaries are full of decaying plants and animals. This makes the soil of estuaries rich in nutrients. Because the soil is so rich, lots of different plants grow in estuaries. The plants attract lots of different animals to the estuary and those animals attract other animals to the estuary.

4) Temperature, humidity, precipitation, air pressure, wind speed, and wind direction are key observations of the atmosphere that help forecasters predict the weather. These same factors have been used since the first weather observations were recorded. Observational data collected by doppler radar, radiosondes, weather satellites, buoys and other instruments are fed into computerized NWS numerical forecast models. The models use equations, along with new and past weather data, to provide forecast guidance to our meteorologists. The three main factors of weather are light (solar radiation), water (moisture) and temperature.
