Answer:
Elmer is being careful.
Explanation:
The given question refers to the following excerpt from a children's novel My Father's Dragon written by Ruth Stiles Gannett:
My father could see that the trail went through the clearing, so he decided to crawl around the edge in the underbrush and not disturb the lion.
The novel tells about the adventures of a young boy named Elmer Elevator, who runs away to Wild Island to rescue a baby dragon. The narrator refers to him only as my father, giving the impression that this is a true story that happened a long time ago.
Elmer (my father) is trying to crawl past the lion. This shows us that he was being careful, because he didn't want to disturb him.

please quickly thank you.
Explanation:
Dear [Cousin's Name],
I hope this letter finds you well. I am writing to tell you about an incredible experience I had recently. Last weekend, I participated in a charity walk to raise money for a dog charity that is close to my heart.
The walk was held in the local park, which was a beautiful setting for the event. It was a lovely day, and there were many other people there who had come to support the charity and raise money for dogs in need.
I walked a total of 5 miles, which was challenging, but I knew it was for a great cause. Along the way, I met some wonderful people and their dogs, which made the walk even more special.
I am delighted to tell you that I managed to raise over $500 for the dog charity. This money will help to provide food, shelter, and medical care for dogs in need. It was amazing to see so many people come together to support such a fantastic cause.
Overall, the experience of participating in the charity walk was incredibly rewarding, and I feel proud to have been a part of it. I hope to continue supporting this dog charity and other charities in the future.
I cannot wait to hear from you and catch up on everything that has been happening in your life.

Which reading-comprehension strategies are used before reading?
Answer: A list of a few possibilities is given below.
Explanation:
1) Predicting - With the knowledge that you have about the book (from the blurb, cover, and what you have already heard about the topic/text), make some guesses of what might occur within the story. You can also glance briefly at the headers, titles, and table of contents (when applicable) to further fuel your predictions.
2) Questioning - Ask questions before, after, and as you read the book/text. Make questions surrounding the author's purpose, the book itself, and your understanding as a reader. (EX: What is the author trying to say here? What is the message that is trying to be conveyed in this passage? Do I know anything about the topics being discussed in this book?)
3) Purpose - Designate a clear purpose for your reading. Essentially, ask yourself what you want to learn by the end of the passage, and what you want to get after you have closed the book/finished the article (this will help guide you as you read).
4) Identify/Learn - Glance at the article/topic and identify keywords, phrases, and concepts that you do not understand. Take the time beforehand to do the necessary research and get a better understanding of these topics before you begin to read.

How do judicial reviews in the dissent differ from those in the majority opinion
Answer:
Explanation:
A judicial review in the dissent differs from that in the majority opinion because it is a disagreement with the majority decision. A dissenting opinion is written by a judge who disagrees with the majority's decision, either in part or in whole. The judge may provide an alternative legal analysis or interpretation of the law or facts. The focus of a dissenting opinion is to explain why the majority's decision was incorrect or flawed. On the other hand, a judicial review in the majority opinion is a statement of the majority's legal reasoning for the decision. The majority opinion sets the precedent for future cases and serves as the final decision of the court.

Personally, I believe school newspapers wouldn't be considered as being under the first amendment, for the simple fact that kids are minorities, and aren't seen as capable of making legal decisions in the eye of the law. If young people aren't even allowed to vote for their own president, until they're 18 or so. Then a school newspaper wouldn't be counted under the first amendment either, because simply-put, if the youth's views are easily brushed aside in regular politics, what makes a school's newspaper, written by students for students, any more valid?
This isn't the only reason why school newspapers wouldn't count, though. You see, the government and the school board are seperate entities. Meaning, while the government can control and decide curriculum for schools to follow, the rest of the country's laws don't necessarily apply to the students in a school setting, so freedom of the press wouldn't apply to them either. This intern, would mean that a school newspaper isn't a thing that would be protected under the first amendment. Does this mean I agree with the government's reasoning, for not allowing school newspapers protection under the first amendment? Well, yes, becasue school newspapers are strictly a school thing, for students, and doesn't translate into the real world let alone politics.

Explain how the society in The Hunger Games reflects a dystopian society.
Provide at least 2 different examples from the novel.
Answer:The hunger games by Suzanne Collins is typically called a dystopian novel. Since it sheds the light upon a utopian society that is controlled by the government. A society that is fooled by the totalitarian government of the Capitol in order to maintain power, and prevent the uprising of the Districts.that authority is practiced by making people from the districts live in a dehumanized state using another form of dystopia which is propaganda for the reason that they showed them the penalty of disobedience. Another characteristic of a dystopian society that we can see in the novel are keeping the players during the games under surveillance at all times, and everywhere. The last thing that make "The Hunger Games" a supreme example of a dystopian society is the fact that freedom is restricted by forcing the families from the districts to send their kids to death, also known as the hunger games. All of these factors are presented in the novel throughout the experience of Katniss Everdeen in the games. Katniss is a 16 years old teenager from District-12, one of the districts where families suffer to put a something in their empty stomach. Her bad luck leads her to become a tribute in the hunger games, which is an undebatable evidence that the "Hunger Games" novel is a dystopia.
