Preparation and protecting yourself against a hurricane correlate with each other. Preparing yourself for a hurricane will help you in advance to know how to protect yourself against the hurricane. The relationship between when you have the preparation and when you protect yourself will help you know how to act in times of a hurricane. Your actions while protecting yourself will go back to how prepared you were.
Sorry if it's not long enough
Answer:
( Given below)
Explanation:
When we talk about preparation for a hurricane, it means that we need to take safety measures to deal with the disaster. We need to prepare a first aid box, safety kit etc. This step is usually taken place before the disaster.
When we talk about protecting ourselves from a hurricane, it means the method we should take during a disaster.
Summarize:
If there is any true cause of fear respecting independence, it is because no plan is yet laid down. Men do not see their way out—Wherefore, as an opening into that business, I offer the following hints; at the same time modestly affirming, that I have no other opinion of them myself, than that they may be the means of giving rise to something better. Could the straggling thoughts of individuals be collected, they would frequently form materials for wise and able men to improve into useful matter.
Answer:
If there is any real reason to be afraid of independence, it is that there is no clear plan in place and men cannot see a way out. If people's scattered ideas could be gathered, they would regularly come together to form materials that smart and capable folks might develop into useful information.

The census has shown that China has the highest population in the world.
A. Subjective
B. Objective
Answer:
Objective
Explanation:
If you're wondering if this article is objective or subjective, it seems objective because it's an informational article. I didn't read through the entire thing, but if no bias is shown or opinionated statements were mentioned, this article would be objective.
Answer:
B. Objective
Explanation:
The word “objective” refers to factual, data-based information that is not informed by bias. When someone gives you an objective assessment of a topic, it is formulated from data, verifiable facts, or other irrefutable evidence without considering the speaker’s personal feelings.
This article states that a census update recorded that China had the highest population in the world. A census cannot be subjective, which means "a term that refers to someone’s personal opinions or feelings regarding a particular subject matter."
Read the paragraph. Then answer the question that follows.
Perhaps you wanted pizza for dinner, but were out voted by the rest of the family who wanted chili. This is similar to what happens in a community. One person has to give up a right for the good of the group. Sometimes citizens' duties and rights conflict with each other. A good example is a public protest. People have the right to meet in groups and share ideas. However, a protest can disrupt traffic or other normal activities. A city must provide extra police protection to keep people safe. Therefore, the city has the right to require permission in advance for a protest. Government must make laws to balance the rights of individuals and different groups of people.
Which of the following statements best describes this paragraph?
A. The paragraph describes the purpose of laws in a community but lacks the use of any text connections.
B. The paragraph describes a simple comparison between a family protest and a community protest.
C. The paragraph uses categories of comparison to judge whether individual or group rights are most important.
D. The paragraph uses the analogy of a family is to choosing dinner as a community is to balancing rights and safety.

PROMPT: Write an informative essay that explains how life in the late 1800s was different from the way it is today.
Answer: Life today Vs Life in the 1850's
Our lives have changed a lot in the last 164 years! Here is how. Today are houses are hi-tech and functional,we are safe and war in our homes. But housing in the 1850s we small, ade out of wood, had a fireplace for heat, and had No electricity. Today in our houses we have electricity running through out our homes. Schools today are big, free, clean, and safe.As you all know,we have many teachers for different grades and have many students! But school in the 1850's we different because school was held in a 1 room house with 1 teacher, and kids from grade 1st-8th we all atenting. The children would then be belted as a punishment. As for food today we have 5 food groups and we also have yumy fast food access 24/7! But as then in 1800's they ate food grown on their own farms or fro the market, and they didn't have snickers or the fast foods we have today. And aslo as for clothing today we wear stylish clothes and clothes that are comfortable and cool looking. Back then in the 1850's clothes were plain, boring, white or gray, and were made to be comfortable. And for last but not least is are transportation today,We get around in planes, train, and automoblies such as cars. But transportation in the 1850's were different. They didn't have car,They used horse and buggy, or they walked! They just shows how in the 1800's people went through a tuff and more different life then we do have today.

Answer:
Ok guys i wrote one that's 377 words, you can make some adjustments to it
Explanation:
The life in the late 1800s was very different from life today in many ways, for example, communication. Communication was really difficult in the late 1800s because there was no way to contact someone far away immediately. Some other differences are the transportation and jobs. If you continue to read more, you will learn more about the differences between the two time periods.
In many ways, life in the 1800s was much more difficult than it is today. Travel, for instance, was much slower. Instead of quick-moving airplanes that we have today, people in the late 1800s traveled by horses and trains, which was much slower. That made traveling in the 1800s a difficult thing.
In the late 1800s, long-distance communication was very difficult. Though there was a postal service, it was still slow and unreliable. Letters could take many weeks or even months to travel cross country. It is impossible to contact someone far away immediately. In contrast, today Americans communicate freely, inexpensively, and frequently over all distances with cell phones and other devices. This made communication so much easier that no matter how far away people are, you can always contact each other very.
Another difference between life back in the late 1800s and life today is the jobs people do. In the late 1800s, most people, children and adults, worked in farms, fields, and mills. While in today’s life, people do different jobs that they like and want to do. And children go to school instead of working with their parents. This shows how time changed the ways people do a living off of.
Of course, these are not all of the differences between the two time periods, but they do show how today's life is way more convenient than the late 1800s. Children don’t have to work now, instead they go to school; with technology, people can contact far away friends or family easily; last but not least, transportation has improved so much. Planes can get people to the other side of earth in one day, which was impossible in the late 1800s. From these examples, we can see that all of these changes brought better life for us and improved our way of living.
Which statement best describes how text is used to create meaning in this advertisement? Responses The language is very serious and emphasizes profit to attract businesses. The language doesn't communicate information; it just reflects the imagery. The language contains logical fallacies designed to fool the viewer.
The correct response would be
' ;
Answer:
Explanation:Advertisements are generally created to persuade the audience to buy a product or
service. They use various elements like text, language, and imagery to create meaning in the
advertisement. The purpose of this essay is to analyze how text is used to create meaning in an
advertisement and identify which statement best describes it. The thesis statement for this essay
states that the language used in advertisements emphasizes profit rather than providing detailed
information about the product.
Body Paragraph 1
The advertisement chosen for analysis is a car commercial that uses phrases like "Limited
Time Offer” and "Get Yours Today" in its text, emphasizing urgency and scarcity. Such
statements highlight profits as they encourage potential buyers to purchase the vehicle
immediately without much thought or consideration regarding its actual value.
Body Paragraph 2
In addition, the advertisement also uses images of young people driving through scenic
locations, creating a sense of adventure and freedom associated with owning their car brand. This
creates an emotional connection between consumers and the brand by portraying how owning
such vehicles will make them feel.
3
Body Paragraph 3
Logical fallacies such as appeal to emotion can be seen when advertisers attempt to
manipulate consumers' feelings by associating their products with happiness or success. These
manipulations often contribute towards creating meaning in advertising by misleading audiences
into purchasing something they might not need at all.
Conclusion
In conclusion, advertisements use several techniques like imagery, language, logical
fallacies etc., which help create meaning within them explaining why they exist beyond
encouraging purchases simply. In this essay we have analyzed how texts are used within ads
highlighting profits instead of giving detailed information about products. Its significance lies in
understanding how these tactics work together allowing marketers present themselves more
effectively while influencing consumer behavior; being aware of ads’ ploys may help us resist
unnecessary purchases — indicating a need for better regulation on what businesses can market
so that fewer people waste their resources because of ads’ deceitful nature (Smith & Burdick).

Read "Villanelle" by Victor James Daley. Then, respond to the prompt that follows. We said farewell, my youth and I, When all fair dreams were gone or going, And Love's red lips were cold and dry. When white blooms fell from tree-tops high, Our Austral winter's way of snowing, We said farewell, my youth and I. We did not sigh, what use to sigh When Death passed as a mower mowing, And Love's red lips were cold and dry? But hearing Life's stream thunder by, That sang of old through flowers flowing, We said farewell, my youth and I. There was no hope in the blue sky, No music in the low winds blowing, And Love's red lips were cold and dry. My hair is black as yet, then why So sad! I know not, only knowing We said farewell, my youth and I. All are not buried when they die; Dead souls there are through live eyes showing When Love's red lips are cold and dry. So, seeing where the dead men lie, Out of their hearts the grave-flowers growing, We said farewell, my youth and I, When Love's red lips were cold and dry. In a well-developed paragraph of at least five sentences, discuss how the poem's meaning is connected to the poet's choice of form. Identify the poem as a sonnet or a villanelle. Explain how the form, rhyme scheme, and other traits affect the poem's meaning. Describe the tone of the poem and provide textual support. Use academic language in your response.
"Villanelle" by Victor James Daley is a poem that follows the form of a villanelle, a type of fixed form poetry that consists of 19 lines, with a specific rhyme scheme and repeating lines. The poem's meaning is connected to the poet's choice of form because the repetition of the first and third lines emphasizes the theme of farewell and loss. The rhyme scheme (ABA) also creates a sense of closure at the end of each stanza. The form, with its repetition, reflects the speaker's sense of mourning and repetition of the past.
The tone of the poem is melancholic and reflective. This is conveyed through the use of imagery, such as "Love's red lips were cold and dry," which creates a sense of lost passion and sadness. The line "there was no hope in the blue sky" suggests a feeling of hopelessness and despair. The tone of the poem is one of loss, as the speaker reflects on the passing of his youth and the death of love.
Overall, the form, rhyme scheme, and tone of the poem work together to convey the poet's message of loss and mourning. The use of a fixed form with repeating lines emphasizes the theme of farewell and creates a sense of closure, while the melancholic tone of the poem creates a mood of sadness and reflection.
The 'Villanelle' by Victor James Daley, an example of its namesake form, uses its structure and rhyme scheme to enhance its themes of inevitable time passage and fading youth. The repetitive refrain and the somber tone create a contemplative and nostalgic atmosphere while discussing these themes.
Explanation:The poem 'Villanelle' by Victor James Daley is an example of a Villanelle, a poetic form characterized by its specific rhymed quatrain structure and repeated lines. This form and the rhyme scheme, with its repetitive nature, greatly influence the poem's meaning by signaling the inevitability of time passing and youth fading, a theme echoed in the text's content. “We said farewell, my youth and I”, a contemplative phrase, is repeated intricately throughout the poem, enhancing the feeling of melancholy and nostalgia. The tone of the poem is somber and reflective, supported by words like “farewell”, “Death”, and “cold and dry”. The consistent repetition and end-stopped lines, both distinct characteristics of this form, cultivate a tone of poignant reflection that permeates this exploration of lost youth and waning vitality.

It was 6 years ago, in a period of time when I had received little to no regard from anyone my age. At school, I came to witness other children of higher privilege, sharing smoothies together and huddled in large groups, whilst I, a person with less knowledge of modern trends, and with no care for being “cool”, was left behind and had hardly any friends. Moreover, I was left out due to my introverted nature around social events with youngsters like me. While other kids shared laughter and unfettered conversations, attempting to have even the slightest amount of dialogue between other children was a challenge. On the other hand, philosophers state that those who are less extroverted tend to be more sophisticated, which provided me with solace in a time when I felt isolated and left out from the world. I was left out and couldn't help it, but that may have been for the best.
Coatis are raccoon-like mammals native to South and Central America. Many people find them cute, and tourists have made a habit of offering the coatis food. Coatis realize that it is easier to seek out tourists than to search the forest for bugs. Like humans, they prefer junk food to what they should be eating. For their part, tourists do little to discourage the animals. After all, a coati drinking soda makes for a great vacation photo. Scientists, however, say that coatis and humans do best when they stay away from each other.

Answer: My fish died and, we flushed it down the toilet and prepared a proper goodbye.
Explanation:
Answer:
I used to like listening to music, but my sister ruined all that when she broke my iPod.
Explanation:
The two phrases broken up by a comma can be two separate sentences:
- I used to like listening to music
- My sister ruined listening to music for me because she broke my iPod.
But due to the comma and the connector being "but," you're still able to say the two sentences in one by removing some extra words and connecting them to flow better.

To never give up is showing how strong you are in overcoming obstacles being thrown at you. To have a positive mindset in the toughest of times. People often give up, when they feel like they can't do anything else. But one of the reasons why they give up is because no one is there to help them get up from the ground after they fall down; not families, or friends, or anyone else. People who never give up show courage, show Perseverance, Respect, Integrity, Discipline, and Enthusasism; PRIDE. People who never give up, show that the impossible is possible. And I can say this and I will, people who give up are weak, and are chickens. Think about all those people who went through obstacles; losing homes, losing money, losing jobs, losing people, being hurt, abused etc. And look at how many of them have stood up every single time they fall, and persevered through everything to get where they are right now. All those people who have gotten hate in this world, and with no equality; people of color #BLM. Many people are protesting for BLM, for justice, and for equality, and equity. They dont give up, they keep rising from everything, the hate that is being given to them is their energy to fight for more peace. They dont give up. If these people don't give up on everything that they have gone through, then I suggest for no one to give up. Be strong, be courageous, and fight. People who keep trying, and trying and trying, will always find success in what they do. They prove people wrong especially the haters, and everyone else who doubted them. If you give up on something, then later on in your future/lifetime, there will come a moment where you will regret it. People who dont give up, inspire others to not give up as well. Sometimes people give up, and they lose the chance to find success and win over their battles.
I dont know what else to say sorry.
Hope this helped a little!
