Can somebody tell me who Mad Eye Moody is from harry potter and how many books are there in the Harry potter series?

Answers

Answer 1
Short answer is 7, I do not know who is Mad Eye Moodly tho
Answer 2

Answer:

Hi, I can tell you both answers.

Explanation:

This explanation is going to come from a movie standpoint. If you need the book's standpoint it may be different since I never read the book but watched the HP movies. So were first introduced to Mad-Eye Moody in the fourth movie of Harry Potter, which is Harry Potter Goblet of Fire. Mad-Eye Moody was said to help put many people in Azkaban and was also a member of the Order of the Phoenix. He supposedly lost one of his eyes in the clash with Voldemort and his death eaters. He replaces this eye with a glass/magical eye that allows him to see through anything. It's also assumed that he lost his leg in the first wizarding war also. In the fourth movie, one of the death eaters used poly juice to assume the form of Mad-Eye Moody. Therefore in the fourth movie of HP, it wasn't really mad eye moody but a death eater disguised as him. We also meet mad eye moody in the movie after the goblet of fire.

There are 7 books in the Harry Potter series.

Describe three economic factors that were involved in the choices made by Brazilians to abandon ethanol powered automobiles after the mid-1980s. Why have many Brazilians recently returned to ethanol powered cars? (Site 1) Use your own words.

Answers

Answer:

Brazilians abandoned ethanol powered automobiles after the mid-1980s due to three primary economic factors. Firstly, the cost of ethanol production became increasingly expensive, leading to higher prices for ethanol fuel. Secondly, the price of gasoline in Brazil decreased, making gasoline a cheaper and more viable alternative fuel option. Finally, Brazil's economy faced a major recession in the 1980s, causing financial strain for many Brazilians, which made them opt for cheaper gasoline cars rather than ethanol-powered cars.

Many Brazilians have recently returned to ethanol-powered cars due to changing economic factors. Oil prices have risen, making gasoline more expensive, while ethanol prices have decreased as Brazil's ethanol industry has become more efficient. Additionally, ethanol-powered cars have become more economical, and the government has put in place financial incentives for the use of ethanol as an alternative fuel source. These factors have made ethanol-powered cars more appealing and cost-effective to many Brazilians.

The first colony in Latin America to gain freedom was Haiti. It had previously been a French colony called St. Domingue. In 1791, while the ruling class of St. Domingue was busy worrying about the French Revolution, the slaves took advantage of the squabbling and revolted. Under the leadership of Toussaint Louverture, the slaves managed to overthrow the government. In 1804, Haiti was declared a free country.

Other countries also took advantage of European distraction to break free. After the French Revolution, Emperor Napoleon was stomping all over Europe. He had invaded Spain and Portugal. In Mexico in 1810, Father Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla rallied Native Americans and mestizos, or people of mixed Native American and Spanish heritage, to fight for independence. They lost, and Hidalgo was executed, but the spirit of revolution began to spread. In 1821, Mexico gained independence from Spain when a Creole named Vicente Guerrero, who had been charged with killing revolutionaries, decided to unite with them instead.

Because the ruling class of St. Domingue was busy worrying about the French Revolution,

A
Mexico gained independence.

B
Toussaint Louverture took back control of Haiti.

C
Napoleon invaded Spain and Portugal.

D
Haiti gained independence.

Answers

Answer: D: Haiti gained independence.

Explanation: The question is asking what was the result of the ruling class of St. Domingue being busy worrying about the French Revolution and in paragraph one it says " In 1791, while the ruling class of St. Domingue was busy worrying about the French Revolution, the slaves took advantage of the squabbling and revolted. Under the leadership of Toussaint Louverture, the slaves managed to overthrow the government. The last thing it says is that " In 1804, Haiti was declared a free country." That would be the answer.

The slaves successfully overthrew the government with the help of Toussaint Louverture. Haiti was proclaimed a free nation and attained independence in 1804. Option (D) is right as a result.

What do you know about Haiti ?

The Tano natives, who come from South America, were the first inhabitants of the island.  Christopher Columbus' first journey, during which the first Europeans arrived on December 5, 1492, led him to mistakenly think he had discovered Asia or India.

The western part of the island, which was later given the name Saint-Domingue, was given to France in 1697 as a result of conflicting French claims and agreements. With the help of numerous slaves imported from Africa, French colonists created profitable sugarcane fields, which helped

There are some places on Earth that seem like they couldn't support human life and yet somehow people manage. Like the people indigenous to North Africa who had no choice but to develop methods of survival: the Berbers.

Restricted by the Sahara Desert, the Berbers developed into one of the most unique cultures in human history. But their harsh environment was not their only source of conflict. Today, the pressures of modernism and ethnic tyranny also influence the Berber's lifestyle.

The harsh environment of the Sahara Desert prevented any serious attempts at agriculture from taking root. Because of this, the Berbers chose instead to live as nomads rather than sedentary farmers. This mobile lifestyle is central to their culture, and perhaps the real reason why they referred to themselves as "free men."

The Berbers survived by raising herds of grazing animals and driving them from place to place. Herding was traditionally practiced by men, while women handled chores like weaving their distinctive blue robes. Although they used many different animals, including horses, the key beast for the Berbers was and is the camel. Unlike horses, camels can survive without water for long stretches of time. The camel's endurance made it possible for the nomadic Berbers to ride across huge expanses of desert.

Traditionally, Berbers used their unique ability to cross the Sahara to act as key players in the trade network between North Africa and the Middle East. Even today, Berber trade caravans make their way across the desert to support their way of life.

Another way their harsh environment has influenced their culture is navigation. Indeed, it is quite difficult to find one's way through the featureless sand-dune terrain of the Sahara Desert. For this reason, much like sailors have done on the open seas for thousands of years, the Berbers navigate by the stars. In addition, Berbers have many stories and songs that describe how to find the small watering holes and the few recognizable landmarks that dot the desert.

In terms of religion, the vast majority of Berbers are Muslim and have practiced their faith for centuries. But there are some unique aspects of their culture that has survived the introduction of new and different religions, especially when it comes to women. For example, unlike many of their settled neighbors, Berber women rarely wear veils and in some of their communities, women even choose their own husbands.

Berber society is centered around the concept of the tribe, which is usually composed of extended family clans. Each tribe has its own chief who often claims to be a descendant of the Prophet Mohammad. The chief is in charge of resolving disagreements as well as making important decisions for the tribe.

Similar to other nomadic cultures, Berber clans live in portable tents that are set up when they find a good area to graze their animals. One particularly unique part of Berber culture is guest rights. Once someone is given food and water by a Berber, they become their guest. The host then takes responsibility for the guest's safety. This may seem strange from a Western perspective, but in a place where finding a place to rest and a drink of water is a matter of life and death, hospitality is very important.

But the struggle between the modern and the traditional way of life has been a significant issue for Berbers in recent years. Like many native and traditional peoples, they have increasingly drifted to larger cities where they can find work to support their families. This has had a clear negative effect on the continuation of their unique nomadic lifestyle.

The Berbers have endured for thousands of years and with a little luck and determination, they'll survive for thousands more.

Answers

Answer:

Explanation:

The legislative branch makes laws, but the President in the executive branch can veto those laws with a Presidential Veto.

The legislative branch makes laws, but the judicial branch can declare those laws unconstitutional.

The executive branch, through the Federal agencies, has responsibility for day-to-day enforcement and administration of Federal laws. These Federal departments and agencies have missions and responsibilities that vary widely, from environmental protection to protecting the Nation’s borders.

The judicial branch interprets laws, but the President nominates Supreme Court justices, court of appeals judges, and district court judges who make the evaluations.

The judicial branch interprets laws, but the Senate in the legislative branch confirms the President’s nominations for judicial positions, and Congress can impeach any of those judges and remove them from office.

Answer:

Explanation;
It is based on the belief that the ability to regulate other federal branches is enabled through a separation of powers. Typically found in governments established under a constitution, institutions are designed with separate functions and roles. In the United States, a three-branch federal government allocates:

⇶ Legislative powers to the U.S. Congress (U.S. House of Representatives and Senate)

⇶ Executive powers to the President (and Cabinet)

⇶ Judicial powers to the Supreme Court (and federal courts)

Early influences on the planning of America's new government included Polybius, Charles Montesquieu, William Blackstone, and John Locke. Montesquieu, the French political philosopher, maintained that in order to prevent the abuse of power, "power checks power.” The concept of defined authority to purposefully maintain liberty and guard against tyranny helped frame the U.S. system.

The founding debate over the size and power of the federal government resulted in a compromise between the Federalists and Anti-Federalists. The Federalists were in favor of a strong central government whereas the Anti-Federalists advocated for a minimal central government with most power concentrated at the state level.

In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men, the great difficulty is this: You must first enable the government to control the governed; and in the next place, oblige it to control itself.”James Madison - Federalist Papers

The result was sharing of powers between the states and national government with a clear division of power between three federal branches. A national executive elected indirectly by the citizens through the Electoral College held military, , and legislative approval (or veto) powers.

Andrew Jackson, the seventh President of the United States, is infamous for his policies towards Native Americans, particularly the Indian Removal Act of 1830.

Which forced the relocation of tens of thousands of Native Americans from their ancestral lands in the southeastern United States to areas west of the Mississippi River.

This forced relocation, known as the Trail of Tears, resulted in the deaths of thousands of Native Americans due to disease, starvation, and exposure.

The ancestors of the victims of this latest mass shooting would likely support changing the face of the $20 bill, as they would see it as a step towards acknowledging and addressing the harm done to Native Americans by Jackson and his policies.
