Write a short paragraph explaining how immigration policy could be both a foreign and a domestic policy concern. How does interact with-economic policy?

Need help

Answers

Answer 1

Answer:The largest reason why immigration is an economic issue boils down to resource management. Every country has limited and accounted for resources which it used to distribute as evenly as possible to it's citizens and has laws in place to keep that balance in place so as to not disrupt that countries overall economy. But when you begin to allow the influx of immigrants into a country, those resources can become to be too far stretched thin and therefore leave an issue for the citizens of that set country. For example, if a country has corn as their main food resource and it uses that corn to evenly distribute among it's citizens, it has taken into account how much corn is needed to produce each year so that way the country at sustainable levels. But if there was to be an influx of immigrants and too many people began coming into that set country, yet the government and it's own people were not adequately prepared to produce more corn than is needed for the influx of immigrants, than that can lead to inflation prices on the corn, shortage of food, etc.

President Harry S. Truman first declared it to Congress on March 12, 1947, and it took another step forward on July 4, 1948, when he promised to put a stop to the communist upheavals in Greece and Turkey.

The Truman Doctrine also suggested American backing for those countries that Moscow was threatening.

what common features do the ehrenreich's see in the unrest in the united states and western europe in 1968?

Answers

The Ehrenreich's identified several common features in the unrest that occurred in the United States and Western Europe in 1968. One of the most prominent was a growing sense of disillusionment with established institutions and a desire for greater individual autonomy.

This was reflected in the student protests that swept college campuses in both regions, as well as in the rise of countercultural movements such as hippie and New Left groups. Another common feature was a rejection of traditional forms of authority and a demand for greater social justice and equality. This was reflected in the civil rights movement in the United States, as well as in the various feminist, anti-war, and environmental movements that emerged in both regions. Finally, the Ehrenreich's noted that the unrest of 1968 was driven in large part by a generational divide, as younger generations sought to challenge the political and cultural norms of their elders and assert their own values and priorities.

What were some of the grievances people had against the government during the Civil Rights Era? (think about rights people did not have)

Answers

The NAACP’s legal strategy against segregated education culminated in the 1954 Supreme Court’s landmark Brown v. Board of Education decision. African Americans gained the formal, if not the practical, right to study alongside their white peers in primary and secondary schools. The decision fueled an intransigent, violent resistance during which Southern states used a variety of tactics to evade the law.

In the summer of 1955, a surge of anti-black violence included the kidnapping and brutal murder of fourteen-year-old Emmett Till, a crime that provoked widespread and assertive protests from black and white Americans. By December 1955, the Montgomery, Alabama, bus boycott led by Martin Luther King, Jr., began a protracted campaign of nonviolent civil disobedience to protest segregation that attracted national and international attention.

During 1956, a group of Southern senators and congressmen signed the “Southern Manifesto,” vowing resistance to racial integration by all “lawful means.” Resistance heightened in 1957–1958 during the crisis over integration at Little Rock’s Central High School. At the same time, the Leadership Conference on Civil Rights led a successful drive for passage of the Civil Rights Act of 1957 and continued to press for even stronger legislation. NAACP Youth Council chapters staged sit-ins at whites-only lunch counters, sparking a movement against segregation in public accommodations throughout the South in 1960. Nonviolent direct action increased during the presidency of John F. Kennedy, beginning with the 1961 Freedom Rides.

Hundreds of demonstrations erupted in cities and towns across the nation. National and international media coverage of the use of fire hoses and attack dogs against child protesters precipitated a crisis in the Kennedy administration, which it could not ignore. The bombings and riots in Birmingham, Alabama, on May 11, 1963, compelled Kennedy to call in federal troops.

On June 19, 1963, the president sent a comprehensive civil rights bill to Congress. The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom on August 28 roused public support for the pending bill. After the president’s assassination on November 22, the fate of Kennedy’s bill was in the hands of his vice president and successor, Lyndon B. Johnson, and the United States Congress.

Answer & Explanation:

After World War II, despite ideological differences, the allies shared a commitment to preventing conflicts from escalating into war and a commitment to building a new organization to promote peace and prosperity to replace the League of Nations. In 1943, representatives of the United States, Great Britain, the U.S.S.R, and China discussed the idea of the United Nations (UN), which was ultimately established in 1945 with 51 member states. The UN has since grown to have 193 member states as of 2022.

The idea of the United Nations (UN) was discussed by representatives of the US, Great Britain, the USSR, and China in 1943.

After World War II, the victorious Allied powers recognized the need for a new international organization to promote peace and prevent future conflicts.

In 1943, representatives from the United States, Great Britain, the Soviet Union, and China met to discuss the idea of a new international organization that would replace the ineffective League of Nations.

They agreed on the need for an organization that would foster international cooperation and prevent conflicts from escalating into war.

This idea led to the creation of the United Nations (UN) in 1945, with 51 member states.

The UN has since grown to include 193 member states as of 2022. The UN's primary mission is to promote international peace and security, to develop friendly relations among nations, and to foster economic and social progress.

Answer: If Person A owns a roofing company and is contracted to replace Person B's roof, and after the work is done, Person B's roof still leaks, and Person B seeks damages from Person A, it would be a case of breach of contract.

Explanation:

A breach of contract occurs when one party to a contract fails to fulfill their obligations under the agreement. why did charles ii give william penn the land and authority to form a new colony in 1681?

Answers

Charles II owed a significant debt to Penn's late father and saw the opportunity to create a refuge for Quakers, promote English colonization, and establish a loyal and prosperous colony in the New World.

Charles II granted Penn the land and authority as a way to repay a debt owed to Penn's father, Admiral William Penn. The late Admiral Penn had served the crown faithfully, and Charles II agreed to settle the debt by granting his son, William Penn, a sizable tract of land in America. Furthermore, Charles II saw the establishment of a new colony as an opportunity to provide a safe haven for Quakers. Quakers faced persecution in England, and the king recognized the potential to create a colony where they could practice their beliefs freely. Granting Penn the land allowed the king to demonstrate religious tolerance and gain favor among Quakers. Additionally, Charles II wanted to promote English colonization and expand England's influence in the New World. By granting Penn the authority to establish a colony, the king aimed to encourage further English settlement in America. This aligned with the broader objectives of colonial expansion and competition with other European powers. Lastly, Charles II hoped that the new colony would serve as a loyal and prosperous outpost in the New World. Granting Penn significant authority over the colony allowed for efficient governance and the implementation of policies that could attract settlers and foster economic growth. The king envisioned the colony as a source of wealth and a means to strengthen England's presence in America. In conclusion, Charles II granted William Penn the land and authority to form a new colony in 1681 as a means to repay a debt, provide a refuge for Quakers, promote English colonization, and establish a loyal and prosperous colony in the New World. This decision served multiple purposes and contributed to the founding of Pennsylvania as a unique haven for religious freedom and a significant English settlement in America.
