One of these is that on Thanksgiving everybody comes together to my parents’ house in New Jersey for a huge feast. On Christmas only my mother and the children (me and my brother) travel to Illinois to spend a week with my grandparents. On New Years Eve we all get together at my parents’ house in New Jersey and toast to the New Year with champagne and apple cider. During Labor Day weekend all of my family travels to South Jersey to my grandfathers’ condo. We usually spend all of our time on the beach and barbequing, except on Sunday when we go to church. After all, my grandfather is a minister. One of our biggest family traditions is going back to Puerto Rico. Every year my mother and I travel back to Puerto Rico for a portion of our summer vacation. Now that I am older I travel there more often and stay there much longer. My father never joins because he doesn’t like my mothers side of the father too much and he thinks that we when we speak Spanish we are all plotting against him. Of course that’s not true though. My bother doesn’t speak Spanish so he doesn’t like to go either. I guess that tradition is one that belongs solely to my mother and I.

Answer:
The poem “A Poison Tree” by William Blake presents the view of a first-person speaker about anger, fear, and love with friends. The poem highlights the main ideas of negativity and positivity and their open expression along with harms and benefits.
Explanation:
The first-person speaker, who is possibly the poet himself, tells that he was angry with his friend, and he openly expressed that he was angry. It ended there and then. However, when he grew angry with his enemy, he could not tell him why he was angry, and it continued growing. The poet wants to state that when you tell the reason for your anger to a friend, it ends but as you definitely do not tell the same to your enemy, it never ends. Rather, it continues growing. The stanza adds to the main theme of negative emotions and the reason of their growth.

What symbol from nature does the poet invoke to say that there can be life under apparent stillness.
The poet invokes the symbol of a dormant seed to convey the existence of life beneath apparent stillness.
In poetry, symbols are often used to represent deeper meanings and convey complex ideas. In this case, the poet uses the symbol of a dormant seed to suggest that life can exist even when it may not be immediately apparent.
Just as a seed appears lifeless and motionless on the surface, there is an inherent potential for growth and vitality within it. The poet draws a parallel between the seemingly inert state of the seed and situations in life where external appearances can be deceiving.
The dormant seed symbolizes the concept of hidden potential and the capacity for transformation. It signifies that beneath the surface of stillness and calm, there is the possibility of new beginnings, growth, and rejuvenation. The poet's invocation of this symbol emphasizes the idea that we should not be quick to judge or dismiss situations based solely on their outward appearance.
Instead, we should recognize the potential for life and change that may be present, even in the most seemingly inert circumstances.
The poet's use of the dormant seed symbol is a poignant reminder that life is often full of surprises and unexpected developments. It encourages us to look beyond the surface and seek out the hidden possibilities that lie within apparent stillness.
By recognizing the potential for growth and vitality beneath the quiet exterior, we can cultivate a deeper understanding of the world and appreciate the richness and diversity of life.
